I wish I could say the same about them. I'd have to use the appendages of many of my colleagues around me if I were to count the evenings I got home from work, beheld the incredible dump that is our Livingroom and started to call friends or family to see if anyone would be available for whatever social activity they could be talked into.
Hell, I don’t even like being in my own apartment these days.
I suppose I shouldn’t blame them for it all, really. For one, if a canine version ADH exists, their dog has it. Secondly, our flat is simply not build for four grownups. It’s more of a young couple housing, at best. My next door neighbour is a very sweet 70-something year old. She can live comfortably on her own there. The four of us have been living in this cramped housing for about a year and a half, so frustrations and irritations were really bound to arise.
The sad part is that both the "shees" (1 she, 2 shees?) have been best friends for years before the (cold) War of the Couples began. They lived together for a number of years before both the boyfriends entered the fray. It’d be sad to see such a friendship go to waist.
That’s why last night was a very good night. After my weekly dartgame, I went to the bar mentioned two posts back to pick up my significant other. She had to sign some contracts for parties that are going to be organised in our bar, while our flatmates had barduty. As I got there around 23:30, the girls were playing Fotoplay and so the guys played some darts while they wasted their credits.
The four of us ended having so much fun that we didn’t go home until half past one. It was probably the first fun evening the four of us had since last year’s Christmas eve.
Frankly, I don’t really care that much about our future relationship with them. However, my girlfriend really needs the contact she has with her best friend.
Therefor, for her, I’m happy.
It's a very good thing that we move into house next Decemeber third, yessireebob.
My frustration of the day: Why didn’t I play as well in the game as I did late last night?
