First off, we received the notary bill for the acquisition. This bill includes the sum we paid for the house and all the expenses we have to pay in addition, like registration fees and taxes and shit.
Here's the crux of this entry. We have to pay over 30.000 guilders (about 13.500 Euro's or 13.000 dollars) in taxes and other completely invisible expenses! What the fuck! Why the hell do we need to pay 25.000 guilders to the government if we simply move from one domocile to another! What do they do for it anyway? NOTHING! It's not like they help us move, or have to rearrange the future of my hometown or The rest Of The World As We Know It because of the move, they simply do the follwing:
1) turn on the computer,2) search for Iefow,
3) delete the "current adres" entry,
4) replace it with the new adres,
[[repeat steps 2 through 4 for my gf.]]
5) turn of the computer.
5 minutes worth of work, 25.000 guilders earned. Well, not earned, but made anyway.
Now I'd like to receive that houre-rating, I can tell you.
On a lighter side: our (in my humble view) huge morgage of 470.000 guilders (well, actually 469.999,99 but who's counting) left us with a nett 890 guilders leftover money.
