It’s been two whole days since my last update and I deeply and sincerely owe you all an apology.
The reason I haven’t updated is really two-fold. For one, I worked very hard during these days. I got a lot of my jobs done and got a lot of appreciation for doing it so well. I don’t know what came into me, a sudden rush of inspiration perhaps?
The downside of this is, of course, the lack of activity on these pages. I read some of you faithfully, but not all. I’m going to do a lot of catching up in the coming few days though. I haven’t updated myself either, simply because I didn’t have the time, not the inspiration. I was usually quite pooped from work when I got home and then I have all my off-hours activities which prevent me from sitting down to force myself to write. Which usually works like a charm for me.
So that’s reason number two.
So basically I’ve been well the last few days, thanks for asking :o). Actually, I’ve been very well. It seems like I’m about to be rewarded for not taking that other job (well, in fact they haven’t contacted me either, since that last interview, claiming to be seeking a second programmer to co-work with me. But if they will call, I will say no!). Cap Gemini has found a really cool job for me, one in which I’ll be maintaining and developing a tool for the Dutch National Bank. It may appear hardly interesting by itself perhaps, but the cool part is that the Dutch feds will be checking up on me to see if I don’t have any skeletons in my closet… I feel so loved, so important.
I’ll be meeting my potential new employer next moday morning. Root for me! Please?
